1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, booking our services, or engaging with Meleva Tours & Travel in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

Meleva Tours & Travel provides safari tours, travel packages, and related tourism services in Kenya and East Africa. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Safari tours and wildlife viewing experiences
• Cultural tours and community visits
• Transportation and accommodation arrangements
• Travel consultation and planning services
• Custom tour packages

3. Booking and Payment Terms

Booking Process

All bookings must be confirmed in writing and are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and our written confirmation.

Payment Schedule

• A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking
• Full payment is due 30 days before the tour start date
• Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at time of booking

Payment Methods

We accept payments via bank transfer, credit cards, and mobile money platforms. All payments are processed securely through our authorized payment partners.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by Client

• More than 60 days before departure: 10% cancellation fee
• 31-60 days before departure: 25% cancellation fee
• 15-30 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
• Less than 15 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee (no refund)

Cancellation by Meleva Tours

We reserve the right to cancel tours due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative arrangements.

5. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
• Lost or delayed baggage
• Personal liability

Meleva Tours & Travel is not responsible for any losses that could have been covered by appropriate travel insurance.

6. Health and Safety

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Ensuring they are medically fit for travel
• Obtaining necessary vaccinations and medications
• Following safety instructions provided by our guides
• Informing us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing safe and enjoyable experiences. Our guides are trained professionals, and we maintain high safety standards for all activities.

7. Limitation of Liability

Meleva Tours & Travel's liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for:

• Acts of nature, weather conditions, or natural disasters
• Political instability or government actions
• Third-party service provider failures
• Personal injury or property damage not caused by our negligence
• Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, government actions, or pandemic-related restrictions.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Meleva Tours & Travel and is protected by copyright laws. You may not use our content without written permission.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
